What I found easy about the map skills was continents & oceans and titles. It was easy because, you learn the names of the continents and the oceans and where they are on the map. What I struggled most on was scale. This was hard because, it was hard to know where 1 mile was and 1000 miles was. Basic map skills are necessary because, they can help you if you lost and if you want to plan trips. They help understand geography more because, geography is about the earth, and map skills is about the earth.
